POSITION: WAITER/WAITRESS
REPORTING TO: CATERING SERVICES MANAGER
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Ensure that opening and closing duties are done conclusively.
2.Greet customers and seat them according to their preference.
3.Refill and clean salt/pepper shakers, tomato /pepper dispensers.
4.Clean tables at all times before and after service and immediately after the customers finish
their meals.
5.Clean and safe keep all Cutlery.
6.Receive guests/clients and take payment receipts.
7.Provide prompt service to the clients.
8.Take all dirty plates and cutlery to the back area for washing.
9.Take and serve food/drinks orders and up-sell any additional products.
10.Arrange table settings and maintain tables clean and tidy.
11.Fill water glasses and refill beverages and keep a constant eye on the table to gauge needs and
fulfill them immediately
12.Take orders and provide information about menu item and suggest menu items when requested by
the customer.
13. Ensure order quality and quantity prior to serving and that orders are prepared according to the
menu.
14. Ensure that continued service is maintained during the course of the meal.
15. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum qualification requirements
- Diploma course in Hotel management preferably food & beverage service
- Over 2 years in a busy hotel/ restaurant set up
- Sound & good experience in restaurant techniques
